Mrs. Dineo Thebe was appointed Operations Director effective August 8, 2025. She provides overall oversight for Administration, Finance, Grants, Human Resources, Information Technology (IT), and Procurement.

She joined BHP in 2012 as an Accountant and rose through the ranks to become Finance and Grants Director. In that capacity, she ensured effective management of BHP’s funds through rigorous monitoring of grant budgets, compliance with sponsor regulations, and strengthening the internal control environment to facilitate smooth statutory and Yellow Book audits.

Dineo is a self-driven leader with more than 10 years of experience in financial accounting, financial and grants management. Her expertise has enabled her to build a robust Finance, Grants, and Procurement team and successfully drive organizational change. She holds a Bachelor of Accountancy (BAcc.) degree.
